Zuhair Murad Fall Winter 2016/2017 Haute Couture

I enjoyed the show (on youtube of course) very much. However, I noticed my picks were all quite conservative haha (yes boring me!). I didn't really fancy all the colours or combinations, neither the lime green + purple combination nor the multicoloured embroideries made me excited. I really love the velvet, the chokers, the lace-ups and of course, the hats though! Also, the make-up on the girls were FLAWLESS.  Ballgown with cap sleeves in rosewood, with a sheer bodice & a 3D floral applique embroidered with silk thread skirt.

Beaded dress in violet dupion with an asymmetrical skirt.

Jacquard Ball Gown with a tattoo effect embroidered bodice.

Mini A-line pleat dress with beaded lace appliques.

Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Spring Summer 2016 Paris - Gina's Top 10 Picks!

Zuhair Murad never fails to impress. This collection saw 3D floral embroideries scattered over short & long dresses in pale watercolour hues. Love the silver lace up heels too! It's going to be hard to do the Top Ten Picks again...It is a real struggle to pick only 10 for Zuhair Murad's collections. 

White jacket in scuba with cutaway boned panelled waist, embroidered with lace appliques, paired with cage skirt embroidered with floral appliques. 

Ankle length sheath dress in power pink tulle, with plunging neckline, embroidered with beaded interlace twigs. Powder pink is just  !

Heart-shaped princess dress in powder blue with corset bodice and a draped belt.

Short A line dress in powder blue Chantilly lace, embroidered with flower appliques with matching bolero. Matching boleros are too cute! Brings me back to my favourite from Elie Saab Haute Couture Spring Summer 2016!!!

Chiffon gown with cage top & matching cape with silver crystals. 

Long A line dress in lime chiffon with plunging neckline, nipped waist, embroidered with 3D floral appliques. See this live on the runway...really pretty!

Strapless heart-shaped envelope dress in crimson red, embroidered with 3D floral appliques.

Long sleeve fern green dress with an asymmetrical skirt, and floral embellishments in varying shades of pink.

Long sleeve mermaid gown in lace, embroidered with multi coloured beads & crystals.

White blouse in Chantilly lace layered with chiffon strips & embroidered flowers, paired with trousers in white lace. Really love this, kept going back to this look while choosing my favourite! Would love to get those lace trousers!!!

One year ago on my birthday, while I was having a mini celebration at Mad Men with the bunch, Zuhair Murad was showering meteors on the runway with his galaxy themed collection. It surely left me paralyzed and overwhelmed on the plane (I remember catching this show onboard haha). And yes, the dress Angelababy wore to the Bazaar Star Charity Night in Beijing was from this collection. It's going to be hard but lets get down to my Top Ten Picks!

Silk velvet dress with plunging neckline & crystal constellations worn with a long black silk tulle cape.

Long dress with plunging neckline in silk organza & printed galactic crystal embroidery.

Long wrap front dress with plunging neckline in silk tulle.

Long flared dress in fire red tulle, dotted with a rainfall of comets.

Green chrome silk tulle wrap-front dress interlaced with rays of rock. 

Short skirt with cross bust, anthracite silk tulle & crystal trimming.

Long grey dress with an overskirt & train in silk tulle with spark adornment. 

Long dress with slit & silver embroidered bust with grey crepe tulle skirt. 

Long dress with slit & plunging neckline & lunar white star-dotted tulle train. 

Coal black Chantilly lace sheath dress with cosmic crystal constellation embroidery. If I must only choose one, this will be it! Love the colours of the embroidery and the silhouette...
