Bangkok Part 2

I have always wanted to do a BFF shoot with Bestie (since a long time ago) and the clock's ticking. We aren't getting any younger (or slimmer). So we decided to take some time out from this trip to make it happen! Researched a little and found Krys who is from Rome and a Make-up artist based in Bangkok. A very humorous lady who made our our session really fun!

Prior the trip, I shared with Krys on the look I wanted on us and we were both super excited to make it happen! So, I wanted a 1960s inspired look like these...

Photos from Pinterest
Krys arrived at our hotel at 6am (yes you did not read it wrongly) and we got started! It was a little Kim Kardashian moment where we just sat there and have our face done. And it felt damn good please.

Lousy photo but we are done! We had really thick make-up on but I think its essential for the photo shoot starting at 9.30am!

Close up! iPhone selfie mode not thaaat clear but look at my eyes , a lot of effort went in there.

1960s Makeup:
Mascara & fake lashes
Mod eye makeup (matte)
Dark crease line
Eye liner (with that flick)
Groomed eyebrows
Blusher (matte)
Understated lips

I also researched a little on our shoot location and I fell in love with Vanilla Garden. A little garden with a Japanese-themed cafe/ bakery & library.

The Wafer Thin Baguette was delicious and they had very interesting flavours to choose from...
Cranberry Maple
Cranberry Cinnamon
Cheddar Black Pepper
Bacon Maple
Bestie & I had to buy 2 packets home!

It was this old-school fountain that really caught my eye, wanted to have some of our photos here but our photographer weren't too excited about it, maybe the lighting wasn't good enough (not sure lol). We decided to leave it all to him since he's the professional!

How thoughtful this is?! Windscreen shades for their guests!

And the shoot started! That's Tonkla, our photographer. This shot was taken by his super hilarious assistant who helped us laugh a lot with her funny antics.

Here's some sample shots! Can't wait to get the rest!

Bestie wanted us to bring along this same dress we had from long ago and Tonkla decided we should head to EmQuartier to continue our shoot in that dress!

One of our favourite brands...we definitely need a shot!

Everyone in Roast was staring at us while we did this shot.  We weren't that conscious somehow! It really helps when we knew no one!

And our shoot ended, with Tonkla sending us back to our hotel. If you are wondering how I got to know Tonkla, it was through a friend actually! She did her pre-wedding shoot in Bangkok with him last year. He does destination shoots as well, he's coming down to Singapore next month for a wedding shoot! So friends, if you are looking to do a shoot in Bangkok, you know who to look for if you like what you saw!

Pit-stopped at our hotel to remove all the make-up and hair products...which wasn't too fun . And off we went to conquer Platinum Mall.

But first, eat.
We weren't too experimental with food this trip since Bestie can't deal well with street food and we didn't have that much time either. We settled for a simple meal at the Platinum food court before embarking on a mission to deplete our Bahts ASAP .

And no more photos...too busy shopping...!
